Oh there's no way this claim will be taken seriously. I just think it's outrageously disgusting that he even went there. Do any black people still take up for this guy? Cause just about everybody seems so over him and his bullshit. And at the very least, people who truly have been victims of racism, not to mention also people festering in jail for stupid shit like selling weed/bongs should be pissed off at this murdering fuck.

The real reason he was thrown out was because OJ was caught stealing 6 inch steak knives.

OJ shouldn't even be allowed to have a knife. He should be required to order his steak and all foods pre-cut in bite sized pieces.

What a load of crap. It had absolutely nothing to do with race and it's disgusting this is even being mentioned!

So when OJ said he "understood" why he was being asked to leave the restaurant, he knew at that moment he was being asked to leave because he's black? Sheeyeah.

They said about 6 minutes after OJ left, the table was given to Michael Jordan so no racism there.
I am going to have to go eat at one of those steakhouse chains! Just won't/can't eat the steak. I think if I saw OJ chopping on a bloody steak, I would lose my appetite.

Now that is justice. This restaraunt owner should be worshipped and given a medal of honor. He put morals before money...
"He screwed with the wrong guy, he really did." You mean, he screwed with a slasher on the loose. OJ Simpson is an abomination. He is a horrible man. He always plays the race card. PEOPLE DON'T LIKE HIM BECAUSE HE IS A PSYCHOTIC MURDERER WHO WAS ABLE TO SLIP THROUGH THE SYSTEM.
He makes me sick to stomach too.

Good for him. The incident was not about race, it was about a brutal double murder.
And I bet most of Simpson's party was white - most of his friends are.

Ruby should publicly point out how easily that could be interpreted as a threat to do bodily harm and then make a sly comment like "Considering his history, I'm going to have to take this very seriously." That might put that idiot lawyer back in his place...

If I owned this business, I'd do the same thing.
I love this excerpt from the other night's Larry King Live transcript. Dominic Dunne was on and here is his response around this:
KING: What do you make of O.J. being asked to leave a Louisville, Kentucky restaurant and his lawyer said it may be racially motivated?
DUNNE: Well, I don't believe for one second it was racially motivated. I mean, you know, they tried that at the trial, too. And I don't -- I just don't believe that.
And I, for one -- and I'll probably annoy a lot of people, I'd like to give some applause to the owner of that restaurant. I think that, that was -- you know he didn't want -- he believes O.J. to be guilty as do most of the people in this country and didn't want him there and that's his privilege.

Does he not have legal action for being refused service? Just wondering, b/c at a local resturant here a guy who was accused but acquitted of rape I think it was was refused service and he sued the pants off them for discrimination or something like that. And at the end of the day OJ aquitted too (even if the public is still holding him responsible).

No, the owner has the right to refuse service to anybody. His restaurant, his rules.

I think the right to reserve service is limited. Like you can refuse to serve an alcoholic alcohol or if someone is dressed inappropriately, etc. but you can't refuse service based on race, sex, ethnicity, etc. And based on the case of my local guy (not OJ), he was being discriminated against for an accusation of which he was found not guilty of in a criminal trial and therefore it was unjust. To me it sounds pretty similar to this OJ/restaurant thing (although OJ is saying it was based on race, not repuation)

^Hmm, not sure. I think if it's a privately owned restaurant the owner can refuse to serve someone. If it's a chain, like Olive Garden, you have to be more careful.
By the way, the comments on here (white broncos racing, stealing steak knives, etc) are witty and hilarious!
