Actually you are quite correct - they (the parents) are fighting custody at the moment and Lindsay has said outright that she wants her dad to stay away, not only from her but also the other kids.....
And Dina wouldn't want to split the cash-cow income, now, would she?

They're all fucked.
The Mom looks like all she's concerned with is maintaining her MILF status, and blames Lindsay's "friends" for her problems. The Dad can't get a hold on his own legal shit, and blames the people Lindsay surrounds herself with for her problems. Ali appears to be barely literate, and blames her father for Lindsay's problems. Lindsay herself is an addict pissing away a brilliant career on alcohol and drugs, and blames everyone but herself for her problems.
No one in this family has any accountability, and most likely never will.

Laurent is pretty spot on there. I think the family is full of nutters (love the dad and brother-in-law getting in a fight at a birthday party). Will La Lohan break away from this and get her shit together? We can only sit back, watch and wait.

Who does this? What kind of parent goes to some gossip mag to set the record straight and respond to their children? If my son said something about me in the press, I'd be going to him to see if I could set things straight or make things better - not to the press. These people are all fuckered up.

Well, we can hope she just got a reality check. Think she really needs to check into Clapton's Arizona rehab (that really fucking harsh one, no media, *real* rehab) ASAP.
But totally agree about the parents. While yes, she's an adult now, she's had the crappiest values instilled into her.
