Personally, I think Nicole probably just wanted to see the baby and meet Mel. Nicole was with Eddie for years and years. They have 5 kids together. As a woman and as a mother, Nicole may feel a little bad for Mel's baby, especially since it's been revealed that little Angel IS his biological child. Seeing how Eddie has nicely moved on to Tracey Edmonds, neither one probably feels any real loyalty to him. Also, I'm sure Nicole knows Eddie better than anyone. He may be a real jerk in real life and she herself may have some big issues regarding his parenting with their 5 kids too. Maybe Nicole's pissed that he's out there frolicking with Tracey Edmonds when he isn't so hands on with the kids he has with her either. As it is, he can't even take responsibility for the love child he had after her. What sort of example is he setting for his own kids, especially the boys?

Melanie didn't ruin Nicole's marriage. She can't really be angry with her...the fact is they do have children who are now related. And I'm sure word got back to Nicole as to how Melanie treated her kids when Mel and Eddie dated. Maybe Nicole appreciates the fact that Mel was nice to them...the kids may have really liked her.

IMO Nicole just wanted to see the baby out of curiosity. Also, I'm sure Melanie is interested in having the doors towards Nicole and Eddie's other kids open so Angel's half siblings will know about her. Maybe the goal here is for these kids to be able to form a relationship with each other one day.

...but at the IVY?! this just screams 'pay attention to me'. tacky IMO. they coulda had a way more 'productive' and calm meeting at, say, one of their homes. i think they only met to upset eddie. none of them strike me as terribly mature.

The optimum phrase being "according to her." Remember that she got pregnant a whopping two months after they met because according to her she was certain they were soulmates. So she claims that after knowing each other eight weeks they decided they were soulmates who were going to have a baby. Gee, that sounds a wee bit suspicious. Now she wants sympathy because, duh, the guy she knew for five minutes was not a soulmate after all. If you're going to be that dumb then you should face the consequences.

Actually, I find it really touching that Nicole is apparently cordial to Melanie. That picture of her holding Melanie's baby is really something. To have the grace and maturity to be able to show kindness to your ex-husband's love child (and his former girlfriend) says a lot. I give Eddie's ex-wife Nicole a lot of credit. Hopefully she and Melanie plan to keep in touch once in a while so the kids can see each other. No matter what, Angel is half sister to Nicole's children. If Eddie doesn't want to do the right thing, at least these two women should for the sake of their children. Blood should be thicker than water.

I agree, Tracey Edmonds should get the hell out of dodge while she can. Homegirl is totally outnumbered...haha.

No way, Nicole and Melanie couldn't meet in a 'secret' place. There is no secret place for them. They were both involved and always will be connected (Nicole) or associated with (Mel) to a very famous man because they both have Eddie Murphy's children. What were they supposed to do, meet at Eddie's house? lol! All the paparrazzi needed was to see Melanie going to Nicole's house or Nicole going to Melanie's house and forget it, the tabloids would've gone nuts. I can see the ridiculous headlines now: "Nicole Murphy Threatens Scary Spice: Leave Eddie Alone!" or "Scary Spice in Secret Battle with Eddie's Ex".

I think it was a smart move for Nicole and Mel to do it in a public place, show unity and let the pictures speak for themselves. These two aren't enemies, they don't hate each other and there is no bad blood between them. For each woman to take one of her kids and show interest in the other's child was nice...it showed maturity and the desire to be peace makers in a negative time in their children's father's life.
