They're both proud drunks, they're both proud sluts and they're both proud wearers of thirsty weaves. They both probably think that the other one is swallowing up the entire world's supply of vodka, peen and yellow weaves. Michael K (re Brandi & Chelsea)

Lane Garrison plead guilty. He's in a lockdown mental health facility so he's not in "rehab" nor is he walking free. I admire his courage in standing up to what he did and I hope he gets a second chance when he's done with his punishment. That's what second chances are for, not for pretty princesses who say "I can't get in trouble, I'm a celebrity", which she supposedly said to the guys she 'kidnapped' in their car while she was chasing her assistant's mother.

A second, third chance at what, exactly? Endangering someones life?
What Lindsay deserves is to go to jail.
She's twice endangered people around her after being under the influence of alcohol while in a vehicular accident, has been found with contraband in her possession (twice!) And was in the last incident, driving on a suspended license!
Why shouldn't she go to jail?

Apparently... If he would have killed a young, white girl shopping on Robertson, perhaps it would have made a difference.
Yep, he was a teen, which I would have thought would make a difference. It hasn't so far. His family is enraged.
Friend of Jessica Simpson and family. Was on the show Prison Break.
Wouldn't it be better just to ban her from driving?

Exactly, exactly the point.
Chilly, I'm sorry to hear about your family. My experiences are different. I work in medicine and see victims of drunk driving all of the time. We see the drunks and the people they hit. I can tell you the majority of the drunks are repeat offenders who show little to no remorse. In fact, I had to take care of a woman (who was laughing with her family by the way) in one room. Two rooms down was the woman she hit...she sat there crying about her dead child. That's a true story and it made me sick to my stomach. I don't give a sh*t what life has thrown at you, don't throw it back at someone else.
The hardest thing to do is stop coddling addicts because you love them, identify with them, or feel sorry for them. But you have to, otherwise they won't stop their destructive behavior.
And if people are judging Lindsay, well, I daresay she's earned it with her actions. She's doing the same thing again and again because there's no consequences for her, so I think the justice system should let her feel the consequences of her actions: jail. Obviously preventive measures (spa rehabs, pffftt!) are not working, but this shot of reality might.
Oh yeah, she's soooo serious about rehab she's inviting photogs to come take pics of her there. Its just another stunt.
Blohan's Rehab Photoshoot
![]()
FOR REAL. Lindsay Lohan invited OK! Magazine into the Cirque Lodge rehab facility in Sundance, Utah for a photoshoot which will be featured in their latest issue which hits stands today. The shots are supposed to look "candid", but Blohan was involved and allowed them to do so.
In the shot above Blohan is seen reading AA's "Big Book." Other shots include Blohan doing "positive" things.
OK's EIC said, "She really is taking it seriously. She's replacing L.A. and smoking with yoga and reading. She hasn't looked this good in years."
According to OK! Blohan spends her days writing in her journal, taking spiritual classes, working at the supermarket, where her earnings go to charity. She wants to sort herself out for her little sister, Ali.
Working at the supermarket?! It's apparently called Smith's and all you Sundancers, get your ass down and let that tired bag, bag up your groceries! God, that would be the greatest feeling in the world seeing Lindsay bag up my chicken pot pies! I'd tell her "I WANT PAPER AND PLASTIC. YOU KNOW HOW TO DO IT BITCH!" and then I'd toss her a quarter for her hard work.
Anyway, she's been in that joint for all of six minutes and suddenly she's "changed her life." She was in the last tank for 40-something days and look what happened. I want Blohan to do good, but inviting a magazine to come into your rehab place and takes pictures of your ass?! Come on! She probably did that, because she knew one of those people would be holding.
Ugh, this ho is a piece of work.
Now how many chances do you want to give her? Oh yeah, ya'll said until she actually kills someone. Well that's a total reversal of the drunk driving laws, which are actually there to catch the bastards BEFORE they kill anyone.

Addiction is a disease. This is the only reason I feel for her.
I think people are capable of feeling sorry for addicts, but sympathy is so easily blurred into excusing, enabling with an "it's not your fault," when really a lot of it is.
I feel sorry for my brother who's been addicted to a constant, changing stream of drugs for a couple years. He's had a conflicted life, and I suspect some psychological problems. But he's lucid quite enough to be able to take responsibility for all the shitty choices he's made. I love him and feel sorry for him, but I sure as hell ain't gonna excuse his behavior by saying "I was young and did drugs too, I know you must be feeling horrible," etc. I'd rather see him in jail and face the harsh realities of his horrible behavior and choices so he can change.
To pad that rock bottom for him would be doing him a disservice, more harm than good I think. I have compassion, but I think tough love is the only way to make a difference in many cases.
