HAHA!!! Hit the nail right on the head!!! Kelly knows without Beyonce, she'd be in Hustler or Hooters right now. You're insights are right on the money!!

Kelly is so beautiful and it's a shame when darker skinned women can't embrace their color.
I don't know why anyone would want to look like Beyonce... between her nasty face and that front lace weave (aka ratty nest on her head) there is nothing desirable about her. She is just one more darker skinned person trying to shed her race and blend in with the white majority... and that's a damn shame.

Yeah, I have several dark skin friends who are always on edge about compliments they receive about their beauty because many times it is often followed by " for a dark skinned girl". It is sad because they go through life really unable to accept a compliment about their beauty.
I find the " You are beautiful for a dark skin girl" to be extremely ignorant.

I agree!!! It's basically saying it's second rate. Like, what? Dark skinned girls aren't supposed to be pretty? Or they are a lesser degree of pretty? Pshhhhhhh. I wanna hear someone say "She's pretty... for a white girl". Hmmmmm.

Exactly! That's why Beyonce always got the best outfits, the solos, the best stage placement, the interviews ...

I love the colour of that dress Kelly is wearing.
I know Beyonce is probably the most bitchy and diva like out of the three from Destinys Child...... but I still think she's the most attractive imo (its got nothing to do with skin colour)

I agree. I also think it's a shame (not to mention TACKY) when white women insist on coloring their skin orange.
The darks wanna be light, and the lights wanna be dark. I guess nobody's happy with what they've got.
Or is it that Hollywood tells women that they need to be the opposite of what they really are?

I agree. I know y'all laugh when she falls over but Beyonce is the hardest worker with the most stage charisma IMO.

A lot of darker people want to be lighter skinned. I can't tell you how many times I head to my relatives in the US and they go on and on about my light skin. Frankly, I think it's shitty that it should matter, since several of my relatives are more attractive than me as far as I'm concerned, but they feel that because I have lighter skin, I have the "attractiveness advantage". Fucked up society.

Has no-one not seen the irony of this brilliant advice coming from someone who has a daughter that isn't embracing who they are & is intent on becoming Michael Jackson asap?
Surely something Princess Beyonce's background must attribute to that? ...like her parents?.....

I wonder what they (Michael & La Toya, possibly Beyonce, etc.) use to lighten up their skin so much? I've got mild melasma and would love to know as I've never been able to find a fade cream that really works.
And about Beyonce, we see lots of pics of her on the beach-- she must have some kickass sunscreen.

For some reason when I read this, I could hear James Brown singing "Say it loud! I'm black and I'm proud!" hehehe...
