I thought he said somewhere that his new song was about his bestfriend, and therefore it was about Elisha Cutherbert and, I think, Ace or something like that, where she cheated on him with Sean Avery....

I think his feelings must be very conflicted. A lot of people simply canNOT get past being cheated on, but that doesn't mean their love for the cheater has died--it just becomes hopelessly mingled with anger and hurt.

It does seem as if poor ol' Cameron was a four year rebound in many ways. I haven't read a lot about either of them but sounds like she was crazy about him and he was never willing to fully commit to her. I've been with someone like that--where they'd been so hurt by a past lover that they just couldn't be present in the relationship with me. Not fun.

In any case, I actually went and watched the new video...and no matter what he gives as the explanation/backstory, he's gotta know people are going to think "Britney". And I think that's correct, pretty much.

ITA that his current remarks about her were very chivalrous and kind. Looks like Britney REALLY blew it....dang. I mean...Timberlake, to Feeder-line?! What a comedown, jeesh. She is so stubborn she wasn't ever going to admit it then, but I think she's dealing with the realization nowadays, big-time.

Justin's alot nicer than I am. I would've said that the bitch is crazy and it's her damn fault for going downhill and looking like Sinaed O'Connor. "She can pull off anything" yeah like your manhood, I bet he wanted to say something really nasty but did'nt want the attention on him so he bullshited a nice comment on her. JMHO

That song is about Britney; he talks about being ready to give her his name- I thought they were pretty close to marriage as well.

The lyrics are all about her; you spend your nights alone, he never comes, you found out that he's doing to you what you did to me- talking about Kevin and the fact that he was always out screwing around.

For what it's worth, I read in this week's Us Weekly, the video is about Trace Ayala and Elisha Cuthbert and that Justin said the song wasn't about himself but he'd be lying if he said he didn't have "personal experience to relay the message."

he probably does feel bad for her. if she's as crazy as she seems lately, he's probably worried for her, because he remembers her when she seemed to have all her marbles. as for carrying a torch for her, i doubt it. he seems like he's in such a different place than her now. he may have feelings because of their past, but i think she's past the point where anyone can help her except herself and trained professionals

"what goes around" is definitely about britney. justin isn't going to come right out and admit that! and i do not think he still as "a torch" for her.. if he did, he has had ample opportunity to get back with her and he never did. he avoids her phone calls, and avoids her when they happen to be in the same nightclub. doesn't sound like "love" to me.

it's britney that has a torch for justin, not the other way around.

the song is good, i love it.

Oh yeah. I think that's probably a big part of Britney's depression. She has sunk so low, while Justin's star is ascending. I'm sure she feels she blew it big time. If the story about him and K-Fed mocking her is true, no wonder she's coming undone.
