......sounds like he might be on the down-low.......protesting too much and all......or it could be a case of actors who should only say things other people write for them......

I want to know the whole story of what happened. So far no one who was actually there has come forth with the story. TR was not there but obviously others told him that IW called him a faggot. The first stories to leak were that IW had an altercation with Patrick Dempsy because someone was late to the set and there was shoving involved. Then it became IW called TR a fag and Dempsey defended him. I want to know the whole story. IW is still an ass but I want the full story in proper context.

true. perhaps everything just got miss understood..then the media getting involve makes things worst. he probably didn't called tr a faggot, he probably said the word to dempsey, and it got all misunderstood. things like that can happen. i dont hate iw, its not he killed someone. an apology is all that it takes to move on with your life.

My years of apologizing for being a flaming homo are long over. I want ABC to fire his ass, pronto. Actually, its already a little late - it should have been done immediately. I may not be able to change anyone's personal views on the "morality" of homosexuality, but I can demand equal treatment, even if it does have to be forced.

I agree. Had T.R. said that he would be fired, but it is just a misunderstanding when IW refers to T.R. in a derogatory way. Huge double standard. I am a mother of three and I can only hope that if any of my children are gay that by the time they are adults they will not have to hear these hateful words. Bravo to you crackho for being open and proud.

I think he needs to be fired. Either that or have his character come out of the closet. For him, that would be worse, dontcha think?

I agree. He should be fired. I don't believe his apology for a second. Like Michael Richards, you know what they said is what they really believe. They probably use words like that all the time. Hateful people like that don't deserve continued success.

I said this before but I think he was on something/drunk when this happend. It was so random and no one quite knows what his reasoning was behind it. I'm not saying it's an excuse but it's just what I observed.
At any rate, they're not going to fire him, that's for sure. If they were going to relieve him at all it wouldn't be until after this season.

This guy just needs to go. Get Blair Underwood to replace him.
I can't get past the irony that a man that I presume would have dealt with racism in his life and career could make such asinine comments so to offend someone else.

No one is going to replace him as Dr. Burke. Shondra Rhimes has already said that it's absurd that people would think you can replace one black man with another.

Isaiah Washington played a gay character in the movie "Get On The Bus", that is what baffles me. Also, He mentioned on Access Hollywood that Chastity Bono named him the GLAAD poster boy for the following three years after that role.
Anyhow, ABC gave him a chance and he blew it. This dude was blessed to have such a prime job that other black actors would kill for.

Well I thihk Shondra is absurd. It's not about replacing a "Black" man. It's about replacing a Character, which by the way, happpens on TV ALL OF THE TIME. Give me a break.

Also in that inteveiw Isaiah said that he was almost fired from that role because he didn't want the play the character the director wanted him to. Which lead me to believe that the director wanted a more sterotypical gay character and Isaiah wanted his gay character to be more manly...kind of like a guy man that you can't tell is gay.
