Personally, the reason I dislike Jolie is her media manipulating. I don't like how she has made no effort to shield her children from the media, and has instead used them to better her image and made them into little mini-celebrities. I don't like how she can never do charity work or give to charity privately. She always has to release a press release or have photos taken of her. She just seems so calculating to me. I don't like how certain elements of the media have bought into her PR and have been pushing her as a saintly person. I don't think she is; I think she's an immoral woman in her private life when it comes to having no concern about the significant others of the men she fancies and she's basically a selfish woman who always has to get what she wants. If she would just stay out of the media for a minute, instead of constantly trying to draw attention to herself whenever the last media frenzy about her died down, I probably wouldn't mind her. People are going to talk about Angelina because she's always shoving herself into our faces, meanwhile Paris hasn't had much publicity lately, and we know what she is; she's never tried to pretend to be a charity saint.

Yes she is trying to help with her UN work but that argument falls flat with me when I see other celebs like Oprah building schools etc and the same people criticizing her efforts.

If she was ugly, would she still cause this level of ruckus? I don't know, I am really confused about the hoopla that is Brangelina!

Very thoughtful post, purple rain. However, don't be surprised if you are taken to task for not expressing the appropriately worshipful sentiments about La Jolie. Apparently there is only one opinion we can express about her, and any thoughtful criticism is prohibited.
