This story is a crock of shit if I ever heard one. Inmates aren't that stupid. (Heck for that matter, your average inmate is probably a rocket scientist compared to this chick) But trust me, they aren't saying jack shit. They'll just wait til she's there and then fuck with her.

I don't do any work in the state system or in California for that matter, but in the federal system, if a defendant is out on bond, supervised release or probation AND the court determines he or she is not a flight risk, often the court will give the defendant a certain amount of time to self-report (turn themself in) so that they may take care of business and family affairs. Part of the reasoning is that if the defendant is not a risk, the court does not want to create more problems for society than necessary; if they are allowed some time to report, they can arrange for things like child care, securing their employment etc.

As far as the "threats" coming from the inmates, I too believe that is bogus for all the reasons already stated. Additionally, it is highly likely Paris will be monitored 24/7. The correctional system would not want the negative press and expensive lawsuit her family would file should anything happen to her...unless they figure they'd only get positive press for endangering Paris.

There is only one way to find out if what these inmates are supposedly saying is true. I, for one, feel confident in placing the subject into general pop and observing whether these threats are real, imagined, or fabricated.

They said the same thing about Micheal Jackson; that he couldn't go to prison because he'd get the shit kicked out of him. Thats probably what they're trying for here.
