She didn't have to be all defensive cuz she has a point. She is 18 for God's sake, what did he expect her to act in? violence, drama or thriller! But as everyone said she didn't have to be arrogant in her answer which is surprising since she seems sweet girl.
Her demographic is a bunch of 10 year old girls because that's who she caters to with her choices of roles. If she would take edgier roles and star in movies geared towards an older demographic, her fanbase might actually expand to include adults. I think she's getting defensive because she knows that her talent is limited and she's best known for being in kiddie movies that get slammed by the critics, but she can't do anything else because she isn't getting offers for serious roles.
