My dislike her her stems from her actions previously to her parole violation, and her whole treating of this thing as a joke. Yes, many people would try to stay out of jail if they had the means, but planning a 'welcome home' party? That just shows her blatant disregard for the law and sense she is above it, and for that, and past behaviour, she deserves the public humiliation. Because that's what this whole thing will damage in the end, her pride, and I think it could use a little bruising. |

She epitomises everything I despise about 'celebrity' and the MASSIVE sense of entitlement these talentless morons think will protect them from reality and responsibility. It's not her fault - blame her parents for that - but she's old enough to know right from wrong even if she's never had to face the consequences for making some very bad decisions. This is the poster girl for a whole generation of pampered, spoilt Hollywood brats and if nothing else I hope this whole charade will make a few others like her actually THINK about their own moral compass and whether it needs any adjustment. Probably not, but we live in hope.

Hey Butt!I agree that the vitriol is scary, but also agree with A*O in that she is the poster girl for "a whole generation of pampered, spoilt Hollywood brats". I personally am a) glad she is back in jail as she is their because of her actions & her actions alone. I do think that she deserves to serve the 23 days as originally given as this would be the "norm" for this sort of crime. However, I don't want to loose sight of the fact that Paris Hilton was given all the chances that any other driver in the situation was given (a suspended license, probation, school, etc) but has chosen to repeatedly ignore & flout punishments because they didn't suit her. She didn't go to alcohol school as ordered; she repeatedly drove while suspended; she has carried on in the public eye as if totally blameless (but no-one forced her to drive & even "poor" people can afford taxis - she also only lives up N Kings Road, which is NOT a long distance from where she hangs out!). She states in public that he has learnt her lesson & has employed shallow media-manipulation in an effort to display this; however her behaviour denies this - organising a party against her lawyer's recommendation? Flaunting it a little.... However the one thing that I can't ever forget of her is when one gushing 12 yr old saw her in LAX & said about having her cd & her song as her ringtone. Paris' response? "I don't care" - to a 12 year old? Harsh!!!
