They may be assholes but if they are good at their jobs they should be able to work. It's really up to the public to decide who we will support on screen and who we won't. I make it a point not to watch celebrities that bother me for whatever reason. unfortunately, many will continue to watch GA because they like the show, so the ratings stay up. They want the show to fire him so they don't have to miss out on a show they like, but it's about backing up what you believe in.

I agree with you that as a consumer, what you buy/watch/support is the best way to take a stand against all that is wrong. (And let me tell you, I miss my Starbucks like crazy...but I am standing fast on my principals!!) Anyway, in this case, it doesn't seem fair to punish a cast and crew who has come down on him everytime he has opened his big mouth. Hopefully, the creators of the show will handle this, and get him off the show. He is a homophobe, which is just another word for an ignorant hater. Yes, he is talented, but continuing to support his career also continues to give him a platform for his hate. No stardom= nobody hearing your ignorant comments.

Has anyone addressed the issue of what it would feel like to Isaiah Washington if he were called the N word? By a non-black person that is. Other black people obviously don't count. (Although I wouldn't put it past Washington to get pissed at even a brothah calling him that.)

What about last year when ABC fired that actor on Desperate Housewives because he flashed 2 female crew members. He didn't hurt anyone, but it was offensive, unprofessional, in bad taste and wrong. This is no different; except for maybe that guy was easily replaceable since no one knew who he was anyway.

I can't believe Isaiah Washington actually asserted on national television that he didn't say what he did. I believe T.R. Knight and others over him. Well, go back to theatre, then! (If they'll even have him now. He seems like a real ass.)

15% and 22%? Something's not right with those percentages...

People don't want him gone b/c the Burke/Cristina relationship is more interesting than anything Derek/Meredith do. Get rid of him and they lose that from the show.

either way, it's getting too much publicity. get over it, stop talking to the media about it. now whatever that other guys name shows up at the ellen show and talks about the issue...stop milking it and move on. forgive and forget.
