Mayer probably just tired of the sheer insanity of it all -- Joe Pimpson was just quoted all or 3 or 4 DAYS ago, sounding off on how he "loves" John, 'cause "whatever Jessica loves, I love", or some such....you know, I think John Mayer was in it for the publicity for his tour (is it over???), but it probably just wasn't enough for Daddy Pimpson.

He got tired of the game, is all...........

I'm so GLAD he dumped that worthless, stupid, POS.

After THE WAY SHE TREATED NICK LACHEY, she's GOT IT COMING. I hope Mayer spills every dirty little secret the dumb biatch has......

It's going to be hysterical to watch the Simpson PR team paint Jessica as the victim only to realize that the world doesn't care and she is completley over.

She does seem to be over, given that pathetic "performance" in front of Dolly Parton, and the attempt to fix it which didn't work, and the latest debacle. She can't sing anyway. Haven't seen her movies so don't know if she can act but I doubt it. Her next step will probably be to reinvent herself as a country singer since her idol is Dolly and she has that image from the Dukes movie and the Comcast commercial.

I bet any one of us could compose the PR spin as good or better than Joe without painting her as a victim. Here's a go:

"Jess has no regrets. She will always care about John and they remain good friends. They/She realized that they were simply moving in two different directions now. Jess is totally focused on "doing her own thing", enjoying her independence and hanging out with her girlfriends, along with having renewed her close relationship with sister Ashley".

Another addition:

No tears for Jessica!: "Newly single Jessica Simpson has several projects keeping her busy at the moment, not the least of which includes *insert album/film/TVshow/book/clothinghairmakeupskincare line here*. She has also reportedly lost ten pounds since starting workouts with a new trainer hired to help her get in shape for *aforementioned upcoming*. Her hot new bod, revealed along with a new hairstyle/color wowed everyone recently at *latest celebrity event*. Ex-hubby Nick Lachey even remarked that Jess looks more beautiful than ever, wishing her the best and congratulating her on her recent deal with *aforementioned upcoming*! According to proud papa Joe Simpson, Jess has finally "come into her own".

I wish. That would be too entertaining. We could get lucky enough that this little turn of events will inspire another round of pervy comments and/or inadvertent revelations about their fucked-up family dynamic. After all, one of the ultimate goals of the Pimpson is publicity.

I agree, Acinodras, didn't that look pathetic! He always looked totally embarassed & ashamed to be with her.--which i bet he was, since his fans were pretty much all disgusted that he was with the last type of chick that you'd expect John Mayer to go for. They were such a mismatched couple. But Messica was so obviously all ga-go over John & totally in love with the guy. I think she really thought they'd end up married. I remember in an interview in (i think) Elle Magazine, they asked her if she & John were gonna marry, and the article said that Messica got a big huge smile on her face & said something like, "I SO WISH i could tell you EVERYTHING, but i can't; i've gotten burned in the past for saying too much to the press. But i'll just say i'm VERY happy!". (Again, HAHAHA to you, Messica!) So i'm sure she's devasted. Which (and, again, i know it sounds evil) makes me cackle with glee.
