is 50 old? seems old to me. not young anyway.
fat is unhealthy and people who undereat live longer. i don't think she looks bad though. strange coming from me but her fat suits her. besides if she loses weight now those teats are going to hit the floor.

Well, she helped create one of the greatest shows on TV, Ab Fab, so I can dig her, regardless!

^ Ab Fab is great but it was created by Jennifer Saunders not Dawn French.

She has made capital out of her size by opening an outsize clothes shop (which in the end was unsuccessful.) She is probably already aware of likely health problems (maybe she has some) and is just being realistic about her life expectancy.

Ab Fab was a co-creation of Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders on their
original show "French & Saunders". At that time, Dawn played the daughter
and Jennifer was already Edwina. I don't think there was a Patsy then, yet,
nor a grandmother. Together they wrote 37 episodes of the series "Absolutely
Fabulous".

That must be a really strange thing, to 'know' you'll die young. Wouldn't that turn into a self-fullfilling prophecy?
As for Dawn French, her weight must be a strain on her health. On the other hand, I've seen her do some physical stuff on French and Saunders, and she is (was?) surprisingly limber. But then again, so was Chris Farley.

So true. As a friend of mine likes to say, 50 is the new 30. Since most women live well into their 80s now, perhaps some of the ageists out there have a plan for what all us "old, useless, unwanted" old broads over 30 are supposed to do with the 50+ years we have left? I'd be interested in hearing them.

Or are we just supposed to off ourselves so as not to offend the youngsters?
