Yep, totally agree with you. Could have been a coke habit because coke is notorious for causing strain to the heart muscle. Congenital defects that have previously gone undetected also cause sudden death of people in Chris's age group. They have sudden heart attacks in their sleep and die. I had a work colleague about six years ago whose 35- year- old daughter died suddenly in her sleep from a heart attack. It turned out that she suffered from an undetected congential heart defect called "mitral valve prolapse".

So....you're saying Martin Sheen killed him and made it look like an accident?
The man must be stopped!

Re: Chris Penn, 43, found dead
Does anyone remember when the director of 'Beautiful Girls' died a few years back in his late '30's? Ted Demme I think? At the time they said it was unknown how he died but later it was revealed that he had died of a heart attack brought on by drugs, probably coke. These guys have to realize that drugs are for you '20's and then you switch to alcohol in your '30's.

Re: Chris Penn, 43, found dead
I wonder if the drug that killed him was a solid, liquid, or gas???

Re: Chris Penn, 43, found dead
I was quite a star in biology but I don't get this. You can test a live person's saliva or urine in 30 seconds and get a positive result for cocaine, opiates, amphetimines etc....but on dead people it takes weeks. Please 'spain....

Re: Chris Penn, 43, found dead
Well chances are if toxicology hasn't returned anything than its most likely a case of screwed up heart, possibly brain aneurysm or hematoma...

Grimmy, what I am saying is that coroners always say toxicology takes weeks. EVEN for Rick James and you know he emitted crack fumes!

Bureaucrats do not get paid by the piece.
Which is good in regards the IRS.

That was my first thought! "The lucky bastard had an aneurysm and died in his sleep." Shame that he was so damn young. I like(d) him.

You do not know what you are talking about. Toxicology takes time. As I stated earlier, from the police report:
Medical examiners performed an autopsy Wednesday but won't know what caused Penn's death until toxicology tests are completed in about six weeks.
Thank you/ Drive thru!
