Now here's the thing. If these hollywood types want to take up a cause, fine, then do so. But stop spreading yourselves thin by doing this and doing that, pledging this, pledging that. I realize a couple of hundred thou is chump change to these celebs, but instead of throwing money around left and right why not pick one cause you truly believe in, and invest time and money to make a true difference?

Celebs of all people should know better than to entrust money with strangers, especially in another country where it's harder to keep track of things. If they want to donate money, fine, then let it be at that. Don't go around acting as if a couple hundred thou or whatever it is is going to change the world with some pet conservation project.

That money could be better spent feeding starving kids and families in the U.S. or other worthy causes. Yea yea, I know, it's their money, they are "doing more than others," etc. etc. But I've seen bill gates get more criticism for donating hundreds of millons for causes like AIDS and education in foreign countries, I'm no fan of him or his type but how is he any different from these celebs? Just my two cents and off my soap box.

Jolie terminated the contract with Cambodian Vision in Development and the U.S. conservation group WildAid, which had co-managed the project, last December, said Stephan Bognar, executive director of the Maddox Jolie Project.

Why now does the CVD CEO complain if he was fired LAST december?

Because the man crossed the line. They believe he stole money and probaby were working on that prior to his outburst. But now that he has gone on record accusing Angelina of being the bad guy. Now they (Jolie's lawyers and advisor) are making their actions known on how they are plainning or have been plainning to deal with this.

I'm sure Angelina wanted to deal with this outside of the public. To make it as painless as possible for the organization. But that went out the window when he decided to drag all this in the public.The man went to the media just to put pressure on her after a year when all of this happened.

Yes, CVD isn a non-governmental organization but what I mean is that the people there alone are corrupted. In any country where the poverty rate is high, you will see that corruption is not uncommon and cases of scams are high.

God bless Angelina, because if it was me, I would have said fuck everybody. For being so giving everybody is criticizing her, everybody wants to take advantage of her generousity, and the media will run any story that has a hint of negativity regarding Brad and Angie.

Last month there was an agreement signed between an organization in California and a Cambodian org for wildlife preservation that Brad and Angie helped to put together, AP did not carry it because it wasn't a negative story.

When you have a large organization and large sums of money this type of thing happens. If its not stealing the money, its mismanagement. I think Angelina and Brad asked Trever Nelson to work with them perhaps because of the mismanagment that went on with this CVD organization. It was getting out of hand and Angelina wanted to put a stop to it.

From what i understood Angelina allowed CVD and WildLife to administer Maddox Jolie Project, she funds it while they administer the project. But last year she cut ties with them and made her Cambodian project independent administered by staff some of them used to work in CVD and WildLife so the money don't go to CVD or WildLife anymore but directly to her project, became totally independent.

The funny thing is it IS her right to change the structure of her project including the management without the need to give explanation and regardless of a fraud took place or not.

Angelina was supposed to fund HER project through them but she didn't stop that, she still funds that project but the only difference is not through them anymore. The key point here is she still funds the project she promised the Cambodians with. So i think CVD a shady operation for making such a big deal and that their outburst seems the money was going to their own pockets not to projects, why else would they make a mountain out of a molehill.

First the guy said Angie never came through with her 1.3 million pledge now he's claiming she's given $350,000. If the contract or agreement was terminated in Dec 05, why is he just talking about it now?

Now the Cambodian aid worker is threatening to counter-sue Angelina. But the guy seems a tad bit confused about the details I think. The guy keeps changing his story every freaking day! Yesterday it was 350,000 now he says she only gave him $200,000.

I think he forgets the VERY important point that it's HER charity which SHE started. If she doesn't want to give him her money because she doesn't trust him, then that's HER choice.

What I didn't like also was how he said that this is "unfair" because he was the one who helped Angelina to get the Cambodian citizenship!?!? So he's basically calling her 'ungrateful'! I mean WTF seriously if he is working for non-governmental organization then that means he has no authority to grant her such with such an honor, beside he mentioned in HIS own site CVD that Angelina paid money to buy 300 cows for 300 families and fund project to rebuild houses and so on and let's not forget her participation with cleaning land mines and that's why Cambodia's King honored her because of her humanitarian projects in the country NOT because she got her ass kissed by him. If she was not an active participant in Cambodia she would not have gotten the honor.

What I found interesting is that the CEO at 'Maddox Jolie Project' Stephen Bognar said that there was an AMICABLE termination of the contract which means that CVD knew about it...You know what else is questionable is that WildLife (who co managed with CVD and which got their contract terminated as well) did not sue or even accuse Angelina. True they didn't side with her either but there might be explanation for it like they might be unhappy with her decision to terminate the contract and hence don't want to fight for her case but there is no explanation for the other case; when CVD made the complaint you'd think they will complain with them since they also comanaged the project!!!

So he is almost admitting he didn't honor subcontracts because he didn't recieve money, right? But this project has been managed by him since 2003 and she only cut the funding last year. Can he prove he actually invested the money in something productive for the 2 years he have been getting the money?

Again this man didn't have to go public with this dispute and disparage Angelina and then she basically threaten to sue him he changed his tone and want to kiss and get along again!

I also loved what he said here:

"I appeal to the lawyers and Angelina Jolie, please think about this. I still want to implement the project. Please give me the funds as promised,’ he said."

The words of a losing man. Either he is not telling the truth- which I think is the case- or he has been misunderstood. Every day there is a new version of this. First he accuses her of not keeing her word and STOPED giving money. Then it becomes that she didn't give any. Then it becomes I will sue him. Then I will sue her. Now its she was mislead and please Angelina please take me back!

I seriously don't know what to make of this. Other than it's not always clean and easy to give money to charity. Someone is always trying to screw you over.
