Interesting post from another forum....pretty much says some stuff I was too lazy to list:

"Yeah - post-partum depression could be making things worse - but Brit went off her rocker years ago as evidenced by:

1/ Cheated on Justin Timberlake and ruined her relationship with him (he puts out 'Cry me a River' - bet booze was involved in that).

2/ Gets boozled in Vegas and marries a childhood friend - anulled shortly after.

3/ Decides to steal a guy who is not only already involved in a relationship but his partner is pregnant - it was totally impulsive and in the end a complete disaster. I hope Shar Jackson makes out big time with some of Britney's millions - she deserves it.

4/ Some other celeb (Jack Nicholson or some older male star) found Britney lying down in the hall of a hotel, pretending to have hurt herself, refused his help because she wanted to stay there to elicit sympathy from K-Fed when he got back (that's kinda nutty). This was before they had kids."

I've heard about similar attention-getting stunts between her and Federline.

Think there might be some personality disorders at work here? She's sounding more and more like a borderline-narcissist EX friend of mine who tried to commit suicide at my house once....

I can't feel much sympathy for her. Her story is pathetic - she's what? 25 years old and burned out in a bag of flaming turds all due to her own doing.

I might feel a shred of sympathy if she made any real attempts at straightening herself out, she's certainly got the money to make any resouce available to her.

Can you even get high off three Xanax much less off yourself? It takes two just to make me sleepy so I'm thinking three wouldn't even be a scary amount to handle.

I don't necessarily believe this. She wandered into traffic and took xanax? That does not mean it was a suicide attempt at all.

I don't either.

She could have wandered into traffic because she was to high or too intoxicated to realize it and took a few xanax thinking it would take a headache away.

We recently had an experience with a neighbor's friend who was toasted drunk walking and rocking under and around our LIT arbor at 5am. I'm looking out the window because I hear something and I'm like honey, HONEY - there's a man in the yard! Long story short - he damn near got himself killed. We called the police because we realized we was wasted stumbling up the street - dark street and he was picked up walking up the center of the only main road in the area that is notorious for accidents because it's so curvy and hilly.

We found out he was at a party up the street and you know what the guy didn't remember any of it - he didn't even know how he got home (police drove him home).

So - maybe she has blackouts - people still function, not well cognitively but it's hard to tell that they will sober up later and have no memory of their actions.

Overdose with xanax is almost impossible. It takes approx 195 mg/kg; 975 times the max dosage (10mg/day)to cardiopulmonary collapse. (mind you this was tested on rats). Lesser things like acute LD take only 330mg or so. thats over 33 pills at the max dosage. So even if it was an OD attempt, not only did it fail, cause its kind of hard to do, but it should be the wakup call, that this chick needs to have her own life run for her. She obviously cant do it, we've been seeing this for awhile now. Why is anyone bothering to care now? This is when you stop caring. I personally cant wait till she looses her kids and THEN has a reason to actually try and hurt herself.

This sort of behaviour is irrational and short lived and then she kind of simmers back down again. She needs treatment in a bad way. I know she's taking anti depressants but she def needs to visit the therapist again because clearly her mental problems are not yet resolved.
