Britney Spears' relationship with her mother, once a Svengali figure in the pop star's life, appears to be at breaking point.
The troubled singer personally delivered papers to Lynne Spears, which are said to be a restraining order to keep her away from sons Sean Preston,1, and Jayden James, nine months.

Their relationship reportedly became strained when the star accused her mother of conspiring with her manager, Larry Rudolph to force her into rehab earlier this year.
Britney sacked Rudolph weeks after leaving the facility.
Lynne is also reported to have maintained a close relationship with Britney's ex husband Kevin Federline which has fuelled tensions.
In more bad news for the singer, Federline is said to be refusing to sign off on the couple's divorce papers.
One source told American magazine People: "Britney's attorneys are anxious to see Kevin sign off on a divorce.
"But Kevin and his lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan are dragging their heels out of concern over reports of Britney's post-rehab partying."
The insider added that Federline's representatives "wants to make sure that the divorce document makes it simple enough for Kevin to downsize Britney's access to her kids the next time her behaviour troubles him."
The magazine adds that despite Britney's month long stint in rehab, she has resumed drinking.
She was spotted sipping alcoholic cocktails at Los Angeles hotspot Benvenuto Caffé earlier this month.
Britney's lawyer Laura Wasser, said: "I do not feel it's appropriate to comment the personal life or legal positions of my client."
