Britney's not an artist. She's trailer trash from backwater Louisiana with minimal talent who just got lucky. Take away the handlers, engineers, producers, songwriters, makeup artists, stylists, graphic artists, back-up vocalists, musicians, slickly choreographed stage shows, expensive sound equipment and what do you have? Exactly what you're seeing now--an immature, lost, uneducated, stupid little girl from backwoods Louisiana who got lucky. She seems to have a good heart though and I think she's been used by everyone in her life up to this point. Still doesn't make me feel sorry for her.

I don't think the interview was that bad. Granted I was just listening to it and occasionally glancing over. It was better than the previews made it out to be. Apart from her appearance she handled herself pretty well. She's made a lot of bad and questionable choices but she's young and pretty much living in a fish bowl with everyone's eyes on her. That's going to make the smallest thing be blown out of proportion (look at the made-up Namibia story!)

I'm just tired of the Britney bashing in the media. Isn't there something/someone else that can be kicked like a dead horse?

^^^I hear you, but my take on it was if she had owned up to anything, ANYTHING she would have gotton more sympathy from me at least. Her saying that the reaon SP rode on her lap was that she did it as a child and that she's country? WTF??? She probably did it on a backroad when she was 8, not on a freeway with an AIRBAG and an 8 month old. If only she would have said "it was a terrible mistake and one I will NEVER repeat." Not only that, she was dressed inappropriately and looked horrible. And I am pregnant, I know there are appropriate clothes out there that cover your boobs and your crotch. I DO feel sorry for her, she is an absolute mess.

Over the course of my career, I took a few interview and interrogation classes, and that marriage is in trouble. She either looks away or closes her eyes everytime she is asked if he is living in the basement, if the marriage is in trouble, etc. Interestingly,and in my opinion, sadly, she seems to be telling the truth when she says she really loves him, and that he is a great guy with a big heart. I don't like her, but at that juncture of the interview, I felt almost sorry for her..her marriage is in the toilet, but she still loves that loser.
