It's nice that you want to defend little people, but they can defend themselves. Also, what you think is degrading is radically different from what I think is degrading, and what is degrading to the people involved in the situations mentioned.

There's not one all encompassing DEGRADING label that can be slapped on things, it's all a matter of personal perspective.

For instance, calling myself a fag doesn't mean crap to me, but to someone else they might consider that degrading to fagdom in general. They see it one way, I see it another.

no I feel person's with disabilties is a term that fits because having dwarfism is a disability and they are also a person. I guess the "mongoloid midget" comment was a joke but if it was taked serioulsy it would be bigoted no? Anyway I do not want to be the person everyone makes fun of for being too serious here, I was just repsonding to the original post as I read it.

I am not trying to defend anyone. Just giving my opinion. I agree that people see things differntly in terms of what is degrading, I just did not think I would be ridiculed and called names for it (another poster) I also don't mean to be so serious but if it's not okay to make fun of people for their race why is it for their disability? It feels so hostile and I don't think I am being unreasonable to say that people with dwarfism should not have to be seen and treated with so little respect.
