    Actually, I think it was Algernon who originally brought us this definition but it bears repeating:
    sarchasm - The abyss between the creator of witticisms and the intended recipient who does not find the humor in it.
    Origins: The combination of sarcasm and chasm. While originally coined as a "sniglet" by comedian, Rich Hall, this term has become so widely used in American language almost as to be common place here in the States.

    I actually like the term "sniglet"... cracks me up..

    really? has it? no-one has used it to me on my many visits... or conversations.... does anyone use it on here? Wow .....
