Confirmed: Purloined Pitt Pic Bumped Borat
Borat who? When we reported in September that Sacha Baron Cohen’s confused Kazakh was on deck for the cover of Vanity Fair, we underestimated the fickleness of editor in chief Graydon Carter. Multiple inside sources have confirmed to Radar that Cohen was a serious enough candidate for the November cover that his publicist, Matt Labov, believed it to be a done deal.
But that was apparently before a photo of a dripping-wet Brad Pitt in his underwear caught Carter’s eye. When it did, he moved up December coverboy George Clooney to November, relegating Cohen to a write-around profile and Q&A (as Borat) in the December issue. Of course, the cover shot of Pitt, taken by photographer Robert Wilson, is purportedly unauthorized and may lead to a lawsuit. Already, the magazine has taken down a video of Pitt from its website, though a spokeswoman for the mag says it was removed not to placate Pitt, but at the request of Voom HD Networks, which now hosts the clip on its site.
At any rate, it seems Carter’s second-guessing has managed to land the usually celeb-friendly magazine in the doghouse with PR powerhouse Baker-Winokur-Ryder, which reps both Pitt and Cohen. “BWR must be spitting blood on every front,” says one Hollywood source, noting that Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe, who announced their separation this week, are also clients.
Asked whether he had been led to expect a Borat cover, BWR’s Labov said simply, “Ask Graydon.”

MUHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Vanity Fair screwed themselves over.

"When we reported..." is that a direct quote from Radar or some new publication that you work for? I'm confused. I thought Radar was the Anti-Christ, so it couldn't possibly be a quote from them. Hurry up and add your source.

If you are going to quote something plz indicate the source, otherwise, it's plagiarism/copyright infringement and could get the board in trouble.

Kris, it could be from Radar. Afterall, they posted something negative about JA so they're back on the credible source list again. Keep up, man!

The picture of him is so 180 of his usual good-looks, I'd be pissed if I were him, too.

So, VF shrinkwrapped their ‘Art’ issue? They did do the same thing with their ‘Naked’ issue with Scarlett Johannson and Keira Knightley; mind you, Scarlett and Keira submitted to the pics and the issue contained other naked/partially naked celebs like Sienna Miller, Chin, AJ, etc. And I do remember them doing that with their Hollywood issue, but they didn’t do it for Suri Cruise, or for Maniston, post break-up interview with her goddess circle bitching to leslie the bennet bitch, but they’re doing it for an ‘Art’ issue?

Did it never occur to your crazy ass that there might be nude photos inside? Nudity is still considered art, y'know.
You and Bradley Johnson can both stick a sock in it because the man signed A RELEASE, which RELEASED him from all legal claims to the photos. I suggest you read the contract that he, Wilson and the VF reps signed before you blather on. And I'm sure you have a copy. I mean, you have a key to all his properties, right?
