Ok, let's say most. Most men who have a child feel that way and he's no different to any of those men.

Well, lets hope MOST ALL parents feel this way, but I don't think this one quote was the point of the article.

That's nice for him. He does sound like a Jolie clone now though.

Exactly, I can think of a ton of words to use but that one just doesn't seem quite fitting.

Can't he enjoy it while it lasts?
I don't think sublime is such a preposterous word. I use it from time to time.
Yes it's a total PR stunt. But again it's drawing attention to worthy causes. There are far seedier/vacuous ways to draw attention to oneself, employed by the vast majority in Hollywood.
And I think it's very sweet how he's gushing about being a father (at last). I don't see why one would berate him for that.

^^ How was I berating him? I merely think 'sublime' is an odd word to describe being a parent. That doesn't say anything against him as a father.

Parenthood was sublime in the beginning. You look down at this helpless little being and it feels like your heart is going to burst because it can't possibly contain all the love that you are feeling. Then she gets a bit older and makes messes, breaks things, fights with siblings, gets mouthy, dyes her hair and stays out all night with her damned cel phone off. And you still love her even if "sublime" seldom crosses your mind.

Yeah, people, let him enjoy it until August when (according to some rags) he and Angelina adopt a set of newborn twins.......

I didn't say you were "berating" him for using the word sublime. The first sentance was in response to your comment - saying I don't think it's that ridiculous a word to use, he's just enjoying it now, which I think is great.
In a different paragraph I said I don't know why one would necessarily berate him for this article when he sounds so happy to be a father, not in reference to you - just some posts which take any opportunity to condemn Brad (or Angelina or their children etc). Sometimes it's justified, but it's always unstinting!
Apologies for the confusion, aabbcc.
