I remember that interview Brad gave 2 yrs ago with Diane Sawyer and Diane asked him what plans he had in the works....he said he was definitely thinking of 'family' and that little girls just broke his heart. He got all choked up and his eyes watered...you could tell he wanted a child badly. It would take an utter fool to not see it was VERY important to him.
The guy deserved a child if he wanted one and Jennifer Aniston deserved to have her career if that's what she wanted. It's too bad they just couldn't do it together.

I saw that interview too and I totally agree with you. She knew he wanted kids and apparently agreed to it at some point. She changed her mind and he moved on, I don't blame him. Maybe some people have no desire for kids, but it's a strong urge for others. He's in his 40's, it's not like he has forever, especially if he wants to live to see his child graduate high school.

Yes - just take a look at 64-year old Paul McCartney and Heather Mills threads in the GR forum.

I thought they looked good in the pictures. Not sure why they had to have a press conference, but whatever. The ONE thing that stands out to me the most, is the total lack of affectionate gestures by either one of them. I don't think I have ever seen them in a photo where they were holding hands or anything, unless I just havent seen it, there seems to be a real chilliness at least physically. I could see them maybe not acting affectionately in public a year ago, when it would have seemed sort of "rubbing it in" kind of thing, but even now I don't see any real physical connection between them. I find that odd....that and the constant talk of children as if they were the only thing holding the two together. I don't see them being married. I am beginning to consider some of the Brad gay rumors too. I don't mean that in a condescending way either...just that something doesn't smell right with these two...

They say they are committed to their kids, but they don't seem to be committed to each other. They also denied getting married, I guess they will just be platonic co-parents. Like I said earlier, I do not feel the love in these two.

I think sometimes people have sex and loving relationships without being married. As far as how they look, they look really happy and together, especially when they gave that 'look' that couples give to each other. And yes, exhausted but far better than Mr. butt and I looked after our kids were born.
I think they had the press conference to thank the government and people of Namibia, which is probably the right thing to do, since the gov't bent over backwards to help them. All in all, I give it two thumbs up.

I don't know - it seems that "relationships" that start out as "affairs/adultery" rarely work out. How can AJ marry him and believe he'll be faithful to her when he's already proven that he will cheat on his wife? Anyhow, I know lot's of people cheat and I don't care if these two make it or not, but the odds really seem to be against it...

Eh, my father-in-law left his first wife to be with Mr. Butt's mother. They didn't marry for nearly 30 years but are still going strong and very happy together. Sometimes people just fall in love. Didn't Paul Newman leave his first wife (and son and two daughters) for Joanne Woodward? That seems to have worked out well.

Yeah, but that's two cases. And for every two like that, there are two million that go the other way. I admit, sometimes people do just fall "in love" and will make it. I just don't see it with these two. I don't know why, maybe it's because there seems to be some issues from their past - they both have a fairly long track record. I could see him spending the rest of his life with someone, I'm just not sure Angie is done with all of her wildchild ways. Yes, she's grown up a lot, but let's wait and see who she stars with in her next movie. How's that going to go? I picture Brad there ever the insecure little puppy trying to make sure that she doesn't sleep with her next costar. We'll see, if I'm wrong, I can admit it. Who would have ever thought that Melanie Griffith & Antonio Banderas would make it? On the other hand, look at Meg Ryan and Russell Crowe??

Ok, let's bet a dinner. Winner gets to name place. When can we say it's successful? Five or ten years?

I'll take that bet. I'll say it was a success if they are still together in 2 years.

Well look at Antonio Banderas and Melannie Griffith (sp), unlike Brad and Angelina, they admitted they had an affair while they were married and yet they divorced their spouses and married eachother. Their marriage has lasted for 10 years now and it's going strong so far.
Brad and Angelina has kids together and i don't think you can compare their previous records with this one as this is their ONLY relationship where kids are involved. I sure hope them well and happiness specially for the kids, but i do think both are very committed couples and parents.

What happened to marriage for life? I suppose that'd be a damn long time to wait for dinner though, huh? Personally, if my marriage only lasted 2 years, I wouldn't qualify that as a success.

Everyone seems so positive that he was banging Angelina while he was 'happily' married to Jennifer. From what I remember, the rumors of marriage problems between Brad and Jennifer were around for a loooong time before he even started filming Mr. and Mrs. Smith! I remember reading in the papers how Jen was flipping out when Brad was filming TROY because he was supposedly having love scenes with his co-star. Also, I remember reading that when he was in Europe all that summer filming Ocean's 12, Jennifer was very upset that he had love scenes with Catherine Zeta-Jones. They said she didn't go out to see him and they, in fact, spent all summer apart. That's when the press had a field day saying they were actually separated. Didn't Jen cancel a birthday party for Brad that year?
I think Brad and Angelina's marriage was on the rocks a long time before he even met Angelina. I don't think she broke them up---I think their marriage was over already. Brad and Jen were already leading separate lives. Some people just want to make Angelina seem like the 'bad guy' here like she broke up this happy marriage. I frankly don't think she had anything to do with it. His marriage was over, it was on the rocks...Jen and him were in the process of getting divorced and then he met Angelina...a woman who wanted children and wanted a family. He'd be a fool to not go for it.

^^^ Please endow us with your intimate knowledge oh great one!!!
It doesn't take rocket science to figure out they were banging themselves while he was married, have you seen some outtakes from the M&MS DVD, (caught some clips online actually).....I need not say more, I really hope Jen doesn't even look at the clips because it's heartbreaking to even imagine that my boyfriend would be that way with another woman, talk more of my HUSBAND. Pitt is a swine and will never get respex from me (not like he needs it), good thing she divorced him.
