Well, if Howard's not the baby's father, who is? Why is she so secretive about it? Also, why did she go to the Bahamas to have the baby? Was she hiding from someone? She announced her pregnancy on her website, so I don't think she was trying to hide from the press. Was she threatened in any way by someone?

If Howard wasn't somehow involved, I still think all this smells fishy. It's one thing to have your kid die of an overdose...that must be heartbreaking but at least you'd know it was a horrible mistake by his own doing. But to think someone could actually harm your child for some cruel, sick reason must be worse. Especially when the whole world knows you just inherited all these millions of dollars from an old man many suspected you just married for profit anyway. There could be people who could seriously be jealous of Anna or really hate her....but to be capable of that?!?! Jeez...

I wonder if Pierce Marshall had any surviving relatives left...anyone who'd have some vendetta against her?

I hear what you are saying, but that is really the smaller picture, you know?? I can't fathom the loss of a child and think every mother would need sedation upon the learning or finding of their child's death. I would need sedation for a good. Long. While.

Also just had a girlfriend who had to have a D&C after her delivery and had to be put under anethesia. That was about 10 days ago and she is currently breastfeeding, so I guess sedation is doable. They might have her pump and dump first. Of course that is even assuming she is breastfeeding. With implants, she should be able to *if* she did it with her son. Then your body knows what to do, if you are a first time mom/BFer, there may be some difficulties. At least that is what I was told by a friend who has BTDT.

Memory loss is very common in people who've suffered severe trauma. I wouldn't say that she's faking it until there is some proof.

C'mon her son is dead..I HIGHLY doubt she would be intelligent enough to fake that anyway..like someone said she appeared to be rather fragile..and she lost her child..I am sure that just completely broke her..as it would anyone..who cares who the father is..I am more concerned about how a 20 year old boy died.

I feel bad at the fact not only did her son die but she is not able to bond with her newborn. Her state of mind is not in it Im sure, mine wouldnt be. She is having to deal with this tragedy. But that is what family and friends are for, to help you through those most difficult times.

He was in the room but there are conflicting reports on just what the situation was in the room. I of course feel bad for her; loosing a child has to be one of the worst things imaginable and to have it happen just after giving birth to another has to compound it immeasurably. But considering the police statements, etc. the situation is a bit odd. They're repeatedly mentioning toxicology reports, so I'm guessing it is drugs or similar. Quite frankly, I'd rather hear it was that than that there was foul play.

I cant remember what news show I had heard this on but they reported that the police thought he had taken a number of anti-depressants and that he was vomiting non-stop. Anna was trying to help him, yelling at the staff because they were not doing enough I guess. I just die when my son is sick and upchucking, Id trade places in a second with him. So I could only imagine the craziness that could have been going on. But you have to wonder if he did take an overdose of anti-depressants what lead up to it?

I hear you on when kids are sick. It's so hard because you can't really do anything but feebly comfort them. Why was he on anti-depressants?

***edit...just read that they're saying any speculation about anti-depressants is just that: speculation.

Why was he vomiting? That's strange...his was probably being poisoned by something...something he took unknowingly or whatever.

Poor Anna....I have a feeling this is really going to mess her up. I hope she doesn't end up all mental, gaining all her weight back or getting hard-core into pills to deal with this tragedy. I remember when my neighbor's son committed suicide she totally let herself go...she lost interest in everything. Her son was 18 years old and blew his brains out over a girl who left him! Such a shame. My neighbor must've been about 38 or 39 years old at the time. Single mom with 2 kids...he was her oldest. Understandably, she took his death hard. She gained about 100 lbs in a little over a year and was severely depressed. All she did was eat and sleep and take anti-depressants. She never really did bounce back. She was really bad, turned suicidal herself. I remember her telling me she was going to a psychiatrist who basically just gave her medicine for her nerves. This was about 6 yrs ago and I lost track of her. So sad now that I remember her....

On a different note, I read somewhere that Anna Nicole named the new baby girl, Hannah. That's pretty.
