You asked somewhere about the 5 year diagnosis.
Well, having had some experience with this sort of shit (like some of our other posters here), I can honestly say that in my country they don't give you "5 yrs to live". With that length of time things are operable/anything can happen in 5 yrs. (Without going into the gory details, you being a bloke & all but..) due to mine being rare in someone of my age, my oncologist won't give me a "you're in remission" statement, also they don't know how aggressive or not it is, so its just a "take it as it comes"-thing.

I can understand her anger at being diagnosed with cancer, however, since she has an passive-agressive/victim personality, yeah, she'd be better off getting "proper" help, or alternatively go post at OpenSalon, they're always game for "woe is me"-type posts. And she "claims" to be a writer... with at least 400 pages of writing.... She needs help, for lots of things, but I doubt that she will.
