I think Brad is actually more level-headed, but he seems incapable of controlling his nutcase girlfriend. I think he sees there's more than to parenting than accessorizing, but he seems unable to make himself heard.

uh..you saw Mommie Dearest and only came away with 'OCD suffering narcissist'? Did you miss the beatings/emotional blackmail/manipulation/horrific child abuse parts?
More kids for Angie = greater chances for a tell all book down the line!

I read "Mommie Dearest", and that book made an impression on me. I think Christina Crawford caught a little flak for writing a tell-all about her famous mom, but that doesn't alter the fact that Joan Crawford was a deranged sadist. Christina and her siblings were not only physically abused, they were mentally abused. It's a wonder they didn't turn out to be a bunch of serial killers after such evil treatment.

I meant that her rages seemed to stem more from her uncontrolled troubles than from a desire to be saddistically confrontational with her kids - from the movie it looked like she would have exploded in the same way, kid or no kid, if the way she wanted things to be ordered was disturbed in any way

I just brought her up because there is no guarantee that getting adopted by a world-famous actor is going to give you 1) a fabulous childhood, and/or 2) a large inheritance. I'm just sayin'.

That's a good point.
It's a crap shoot for the kids, whether their new parents are rich and famous or not.
There are good rich and/or famous adoptive parents and bad ones, just as there are good poor and/or nonfamous adoptive parents and bad ones.
