If we are going to go with that line of reasoning, then EVERY SINGLE CELEB out there should be apologized to, because they all seem to always be taken out of context. Why believe some and then claim that some have been taken out of context.

I believe Lindsey Lohan has also claimed to have been taken out of context, when she said something about drugs right. Jennifer Aniston has been taken out of context. Jessica Simpson has been taken out of context. Heck, even Diddy has been taken out of context. Beyonce seems to have been taken out of context too (now i feel bad 'cos I thot she was a bitch for what she said, alas she was only taken out of context). I'm trying to remember some notorious celeb quotes that I've read and actually given real thought to.

We really should just wipe their slates anew, because they have all been taken out of context then. ( I mean wipe all celebs' slates that is).

And you just take things to the extreme. Give me a break. Yes, she was taken out of context. She hasn't been going around drunk, no panties on, and carrying her "blob" by it's feet.
Are you saying the when people are taken out of context, they should be persecuted anyway?

yea. she went around with track marks and viles of blood on her neck, and oh yea, congratulating tamika ray on her globe thinking it was Jennifer Hudson. All celebs are taken out of context, so does that mean none deserve criticism. ok, the evil media takes everything out of context and all celebs are saints....btw, Eko is hot!

Again with the slippery slope. If you read the article, then you know that the "blob" was taken out of context. When you realize that something isn't correct, should you accept it as fact anyway?

I am simply saying that what is good for the goose is also good for the gander. Since the excuse for all her statements seems to be that she was taken out of context, then I guess Beyonce should be given a free pass and not bashed for her comments about Jennifer Hudson since she was also taken out of context. No?!?!?

I am saying that when celebs open their mouths to yap, don't give me a "taken out of context" argument because it creates a slippery slope argument. We might as well start counting how many other people have been taken out of context. She said what she said, accept it and stop giving excuses for her is my thing.

Many people read the whole interview and didn't think she was taken out of context. Maybe just a matter of interpretation.

no. but that doesn't mean i should like angelina either. you're the one creating the slope Echo!!! you're the one implying angelina was taken out of context here, thus she is always taken out of context and thus she's always a saint. you made your point-the blob was out of context. that doesnt excuse the other crap she's done.

I love the way you all have thrown every celeb in the world into my statement instead of focusing on what I've actually said. Beyance should be bashed. I read the whole article and she was not taken out of context, nor did she claim to be.
What I am saying is that reporters took something that she said in another article and twisted, which I'm sure you are aware of. My point is that she has not behaved in a way that would warrant this type of backlash. Sure she was a screwed up freak a few years back, but we're talking about now. Brittney was a whole lot different a few years back as well, but that has no barring on the shit she's pulling now.

Okay, I'll bite since I am such a sucker for a good debate/argument/dicussion/whateveryouwannacallit. When Beyonce said that she could have gained a few pounds to play the role of Effie, what did the entire gossipworld run with?? Britney hasn't given any real interviews for us to analyse whether she has been taken out of context ... Oh yeah she has. When Britney said that her dad used to carry her on his lap and drive around, what did the gossip world run with?? Why is Angelina Jolie's statement any different???? She says her own biological child is a blob and that she "has to work at feeling for her," what do you expect us all to run with???

Stop making excuses for her and accept what her image is right now (can we say the next "mommy dearest" and one of the most despised American celebs on the planet behind Tom Cruise), or I guess, explain to me how she was taken out of context when compared to any of these other two. I mean there are tons and tons of celeb quotes that have shaped our perception of all celebs today and if we went back and tried to dissect each and every one of them, trust me, they have all been taken out of context.

For me, the difference with Beyance is that there was a laundry list of thing she said that were perceived as unflattering towards Jennifer. It wasn’t just one or 2 sentences that could have been misconstrued. With Britney, I think she is persecuted more on her behavior that is caught on tape, and her decisions, more so than anything she says. My initial point was that I didn’t understand what she’s done to deserve this backlash? It wasn’t really about how celebs are taken out of context. Are you telling me that the Blob statement in the foreign magazine article is why so many are against her? Or is there something else? What is it based on?

I can tell you a laundry list of things that Angelina has done and said that would make me believe what she said about her own blob ... oops, child. And many other things make me dislike her and lead me to believe that she is unfit to be a mother, even tho' the media keeps piking her up as this humanitarian and mother.

She said that she wouldn't have any biological children because that would be one less orphan to rescue
Next she has the baby and is NEVER seen with it, so I take it that she doesn't even spend time with the child anyways like sweetness just mentioned. (apparently, being seen with your child as a celeb sorta equates with being a good mother). Hence, she's been such a good mother to Zahara since she was 5 or is it 6months old and yet can't make time for her own child.
She says that she wants to find the right race and color to match her current accessories ... oops adopted children.
I could go on and on and on and on but it would be to no avail.

I don't know why there is a backlash against her. I have NEVER liked her and have always been "backlashing" her if that's a word. Maybe it has to do with the fact that she's constantly pimping her charity and adopted children, breaking homes, trying to change her image and using poor innocent lives in the process. I really don't know why there is suddenly this backlash, like I said, I've NEVER liked her even when the media kept shoving her down my throat ... I always regurgitated it.
