That is the first thing I thought when I read the item. The hotel afforded privacy, comfort and a breather after whatever happened which is probably what Mrs. Dark said or something similar.

That Maddox had an accident and needed cleaning up is the explanation that makes the most sense. I could understand why Angelina wouldn't want to load him into the car all crappy and smelly, either. $700 seems like a lot of money to me, but to someone who is a millionaire, $700 may just be chump change.
