PowerO: Since you fail to see my point yet again, I'm leaving you alone. I refuse to do your thinking for you.

See, this is why I'm done with you. You're presumptive. And wrong to boot. If I felt like it, I'd tell you of the other countries in which I've lived, let alone to or through which I've merely travelled.

Who said a baby would connect you to an "exoctic place"? are you against people adopting other races than their own? >.<

I've been saying that for years. It's what's wrong with Planet Earth: mo' people, mo' problems. We humans have overrun the place like rodentia, and pretty soon, this rock's gonna slough us off in one great shake.
So good for Mangie and her mission. Here's hoping she's more successful than Mia Farrow *cough* Soon-Yi *cough*!

Well, if you have ever been to an orphanage you will understand that they are *still* better off. Children w/ no familial ties are looked down upon, they may not get jobs, they get no education. They are sometimes sold as sex slaves. They are often turned out w/ no $$ and no education at 12. They do not marry, and are shunned.

yes so you missquoted me didn't you and suggested i must be 14.
I don't presume the worst possible twist about eveything angelina does. I also don't presume anything about you. I'm just a person who read through the thread and was looking at all the posters bagging angelina cause she wants to adopt and has adopted.

Again, I completely agree that a loving home is better than the orphanage.

All you 'haters' are making it sound like she's not allowed to adopt a child of a different race than her own! Seriously....what are you bitching and moaning about...that she adopts children and *GASP* they're not white!?!?! OMG she must be insane!!!! And gawd forbid her to have more than one child....what a bitch...right?
What the hell do you care what country her kids come from? The fact that she's saving a child's life by taking them out of an orphanage is what's important. I may be the only one who actually thinks having two rich parents and jet-setting around the world is still better than sitting on a dirt floor, hungry, and covered with flies.

^^ I hope I'm not included in that rant. Because the only thing that gives me pause about Mangie's compulsion to adopt is the fact that it is a compulsion. Usually, compulsory behavior is indicative of an underlying mental disorder/defect or whatever.
Or she could be genuinely big-hearted and that's that. Whatthefuckever do I care? I only care if she fucks up her kids, however many she has. But the future has yet to arrive.

lol no you're not included in my rant. I enjoy your posts it's aimed towards the posters who are having a bitch fit b/c 1) she wants to adopt another baby 2) that she wants to adopt a baby from a different country. Yes it may seem she's rushing into adopting again but did anyone think maybe she just wants to have her babies while she's still young? It makes sense to me

So every person in the world who has adopted children is *just* like Mia Farrow?? yeah right whatever.
I personally like the fact that she doesn't want to do the standard 2 kids thing, and being a person who has enjoyed travelling myself i can appreciate that angie sees the beauty in other countries. It's obviously a little to far outside the box for some of you guys. want a tissue?

Okay fine whatever. Too much red cordial I think!

Personally, I prefer the straw hut I grew up in. The ants in particular were nice and crunchy on top of my fried slugs.
Honestly, does anyone else think that the Angelina discussions are slightly out of control?

^ I do. But i also i think we integrate the topic itself (eg. adopting, having kids, etc) with the person in question (Angelina in this case), if that make any sense.

No doubt being adopted by a wealthy movie star is better than languishing unloved in an orphanage. But I still say Angelina's manic adoption habit is nothing more than a hobby. I picture her poring over an atlas with a magnifying glass:"Let's see what country shall I choose now?"

So what if it's a hobby? Does that make her any less of a good mother? MY hobby used to be collecting Barbie trading cards. I took DAMN good care of those things, wouldn't let anyone else touch them. Just b/c she likes having lots of babies doesn't mean she's a bad mom. And I know you didn't say she was, I'm just saying it b/c that's what I said
