(BANG) - Tom Cruise and his pregnant fiancée Katie Holmes are rumoured to be planning a quickie beach wedding next month.

The smitten couple were planning Christmas nuptials but are now said to be tying the knot at the swanky Ritz-Carlton in Mexico in November - because Cruise doesn't want his baby born outside of marriage.

A source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Tom's old fashioned. He wants his child to be born in wedlock. He's very romantic and wants everything to be in place before the birth.

"They both decided on the Ritz-Carlton in Cancun as soon as they got engaged and had set a Christmas date. Katie didn't know she was pregnant, so their arrangements had to be changed."

The source also told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "She didn't realise she would show so quickly and she's been stressed about walking down the aisle with a bump."

Earlier this week, Katie was photographed showing off a sizeable bump - sparking speculation she is more than three months pregnant as previously rumoured.

The pictures show her silky blue top clinging to her bulging tummy.

An onlooker told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: "She had a very considerable bump. To me she looked more like a girl who was five months pregnant than three."

So if she is only 3 months pregnant why can't they wait until Christmas? Why up it? Maybe she is farther along than they claim and he is afraid she will have the child before he can get married to her. I guess in his mind having sex before marriage isn't that bad, but having a baby before marriage is.

So they are getting married next month because if they wait until Christmas, their child would be born out of wedlock? But Katie is supposedly only three months pregnant? So are they expecting the baby to be born 4 months premature? Obviously, she's lying about how far along she is or just making the whole thing up and is too stupid to realize that she's screwing up the details. If they are expecting the baby around Christmas, she's about 7 months pregnant right now.

That's true.

I think it's just that when someone announces that they are pregnant it's because you've just found out and people general do so between 4-12 weeks in - more the former than the later. I've also know people that thought it was bad luck to tell anyone that you were preggo during your first trimester because that is the time you have the greatest chance of losing the child.

Now that she's showing I guess someone felt they had to announce it.

I'm assuming.

YOu know, it strikes me like this: she got herself knocked up by someone else, Cruise's people got wind of it and it fit in perfectly with thier newly hatched plan to 'find him a woman'. They did a bit of research, found out about her devoutly catholic family/her vows to remain a virgin until marriage, and used this information to trap her. Once they revealed they had the goods on her, effectively blackmailing her, she was thiers and Tom's as well. Hence, she is probably more like 5-6 months preggers, it's some surf dudes baby and she is dancing with the devil.

And as far as this "silent birth" thing...riiiiiight. Scientology is just disgusting.
