A British newspaper recently quoted sources saying Justin's mom, Lynn Harless, told neighbors that she expected 2006 to be a very exciting year for the couple of nearly three years. The report claimed she was hinting to neighbors that a baby was on the way, even saying, "I'm knitting booties."
But Harless, in an interview on Monday, Jan. 16, at her home near Memphis, Tenn., gave Star the truth.
"I've read the story about Cameron expecting — which isn't true — and me supposedly knitting booties," she said. "I have never knitted anything in my life and I don't even know how to knit!"
It's not that Justin's mom wouldn't be happy to have a grandchild. "We love Cameron and we really hope that they will get married," she told Star. "And when and if they are expecting a baby, that will be a very happy situation for us. She is a very wonderful girl, very down to earth."
