Former 'Baywatch' Star Files for Divorce

A/P LOS ANGELES - Former "Baywatch" star David Hasselhoff filed for divorce Thursday from actress Pamela Bach, his wife of 16 years.

"The couple have agreed to an amicable settlement," said Hasselhoff's publicist, Judy Katz.

Hasselhoff, 53, and Bach, 42, wed in December 1989. They have two teenage daughters.

Details on custody and property issues were not disclosed.

Hasselhoff, who cited irreconcilable differences, played lifeguard Mitch Buchannon in "Baywatch" from 1989 to 2000. He also starred in the 1980s TV series "Knight Rider," in which his character, Michael Knight, teamed with a talking Pontiac Trans Am sports car to fight crime.

Bach has appeared on the soap opera "The Young and The Restless" and in numerous episodes of "Baywatch" and "Knight Rider."

Apparently he has a new rap tune coming out that is supposed to blow the public away. The guy is what, 53 years old??? Does he really believe he will still set the ladies hearts aflutter? I think there is something wrong with any 53 year old man who thinks he can make a comeback rapping.

Personally, I've never found him the least bit appealing. He always thought he was all that until his first wife dumped his ass. Now #2 is moving on. Not a good track record.

But, in response to her husband's documents, Pamela Hasselhoff filed papers yesterday (13JAN06), asking for full custody of their two kids and insisting that visitation by her soon-to-be ex is monitored.

Pamela also requests spousal and child support.
