Nicolas Cage thanks ex wife Lisa Marie Presley for current marriage

NICOLAS CAGE credits his brief failed marriage to LISA MARIE PRESLEY with giving him the courage to marry a woman 20 years his junior.

The FACE OFF star, 42, tied the knot with waitress ALICE KIM in July 2004 after a whirlwind five-month courtship, after realising he had found true love for the first time in his life.

The actor was married to Presley for just 107 days in 2002, and divorced actress PATRICIA ARQUETTE in 2001 after six years together.

He says, "I feel like a new man. I've been involved in terrible relationships before where I was a lot closer in age to the women I was with and look what happened. So it's not a question of age."

Was the marriage to Patricia Arquette real? I don't think they even lived together for most of the time they were wed.

I bet saying all that is in his prenup. He has to diss the ex some how or the present wife gets like a ktrillion dollars or something.

They didn't live together and yet he seems so surprised his past marriages didn't work.

I think the fact that he "relates" better to a 22 year old (then 19 year old) speaks volumes about him and not so much Patricia or Lisa Marie. They both have their own issues - believe me! - but he's certainly not off the hook.

He may relate to her better because since she is so much younger, she is easier to mold and easier to dominate.
