KATE BECKINSALE is baffled she is still mistaken for fellow Brit beauty KATE WINSLET, because the two actresses are so different.
Despite roles in blockbusters THE AVIATOR and VAN HELSING, the brunette star is regularly approached by confused fans praising her performance in TITANIC as ROSE DeWITT BUKATER.
Beckinsale says, "With me, people are like, 'Kate who? Is she the one off Titanic?' I always get people telling me how much they loved Titanic and I just say, 'I'm so glad for you.' I don't want to embarrass them."
Come on, don't people look at faces when they go to the
movies? Didn't they notice Winslet's coppery red hair in Titanic? Her broader face, her cleavage?
And if they actually did, I expect Beckinsale would probably lose her cool.

Hmm. To me, it just seemed like she insulted herself but didn't catch on to it. As she said, "Kate who??" I'm sure the people are only confused by the same first name only, because Kate Beckinsale isn't someone who is memorable unlike the wonderful Kate Winslet. In fact, I'd probably be one of those people who'd go up to her and 'mistakenly' confuse her with someone else just to see her get mad.
