Lindsay Lohan released from hospital - mom angry over rumors

LATEST: Pop star and actress LINDSAY LOHAN was released from a Miami, Florida hospital this morning (05JAN06) after being given the all clear following her New Year's asthma attack.

The MEAN GIRLS star was admitted to Mount Sinai hospital on Monday evening (02JAN05) after suffering severe breathing problems.

Medics kept her under observation after discovering she had broken a blood vessel in her neck.

Meanwhile, her publicist, who has confirmed Lohan is back home in New York, insists reports that Lohan is pregnant are false.

The rumours surfaced yesterday (04JAN06) when a friend of the actress was spotted visiting the hospital carrying a home pregnancy test.

But the publicist insists the pregnancy kit was for another pal.

LINDSAY LOHAN's mother DINA has lashed out at attacks on her daughter after she was admitted to hospital on Monday (02JAN06).

The worried mum was with the pop star/actress when she suffered a severe asthma attack, which burst a blood vessel in her neck, and she's sickened by articles suggesting her daughter's latest health scare is far more serious.

Press reports have suggested the MEAN GIRLS star is still struggling with an eating disorder she talks about in the new issue of style magazine Vanity Fair.

But Dina fumes, "I don't think people understand how truly terrifying it is to have an asthma attack."

Lohan has spent this week in Miami's Mount Sinai Medical Center after collapsing with breathing problems on Monday night (02JAN06).

Lohan was diagnosed an asthmatic when she was just two.

Yea, so if Lindsay never told her mother about her past conditions how would she explain the future articles. I just laughed when awhile back, she claimed the rumors were she had an eating disorder were false and that she was eating right and dieting and people were still gonna fuck with her if she gained too much wieght. If she turns out to be pregnant, what's gonna be the story this time,

People who have asthma shouldn't smoke. Maybe Dina should ask her daughter to take some responsibility for her own health.

I really don't like Lindsay. She's way too overexposed. Can you say Beyonce?! Also, the girl is - what? - 19 years old and already she's dabbled with drugs, bulemia, sex, car accidents, very serious boyfriends, etc., etc. I think the girl is desparate for attention and then when she gets it, she and her mom cry foul. In reality, she can't sing, she can't act and she's mediocre in terms of her looks. I give her a few more months and then some other flavor of the year will come along.

she maybe average in looks and overexposed but she definately is a very good actor. She was amazing in "Parentrap" she not only played a double role but also put on a pretty imressive brit accent. I haven't seen all her movies but the ones I did,I really enjoyed. She is definately getting alot of negetive attention unfortunately I hope this does not affect her movie career cuz alot of big movie studios may not want to invest in her.

IF she has asthma and IF it makes her cough to the point of retching incontinence (like mine before I took meds) than I can totally believe the burst blood vessel theory, although I never required hospitalisation. However, knowing her lifestyle and habits I think this incident has more to do with ummmmmmm her 'lifestyle' and 'habits'.

I have a friend who is a resident at Mt. Sinai and she told me something interesting. Apparently the first time they brought her in, her mom freaked out that they wouldn't admit her under an alias and the person admitting her had no clue who Lindsay Lohan was. She was released a few hours later when they thought they had it under control. Then apparently she went BACK OUT paryting and had to be re-admitted. Dumbass.

Why isn't her mom as upset about Lindsay's smoking. That is so bad for someone with Asthma. she's only 19 she couldn't have been smoking too many years.
