Mariah Carey says she needs a bib - because she eats like a toddler.

The sexy songstress is so messy she's always spilling food down herself - and admits she looks forward to eating at home so she can abandon her table manners.

She told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "I'm so excited to get in bed, watch movies and eat. I joke that I need a bib because I'm such a messy eater."

She added: "At a restaurant people are looking at you so when I'm in private I eat like a two-year-old."

This explains why she needed a beverage assistant on hand during her album signing in London last month.

The singer also revealed she's a prude in real life - despite her sexy image. The pop diva says she struggles to hang onto men when they discover she doesn't live up to her raunchy persona in real life.

Mariah said: "Anyway men tend to go off me when they find out I'm a prude. They either turn into my big brother or else they stop talking to me. Luckily, I have a lot of male friends who have gone way, way past that whole sexual thing."

She also said that her trip to Aspen, Colorado wasn't as fun as she hoped.

"We couldn't go tubing this year. I was very upset. I'm going to have to buy some land where there's a hill so I can go sledding down the hill because I'm eternally eight years old."
