Mira Sorvino expecting second child

Oscar winner MIRA SORVINO and her rocker husband CHRIS BACKUS are celebrating the New Year in style with news of a second baby.

The couple, who wed in June 2004, are expecting a brother or sister for their daughter MATTEA ANGEL this summer (06).

It's been an interesting start of 2006 for the actress - she was sworn in as an honorary deputy sheriff in Pennsylvania last week (27DEC05) and recently garnered a Golden Globe Awards nomination for her role in harrowing miniseries HUMAN TRAFFICKING.

I know he was like 23 years old when she married him a few years ago! And she's in her late 30's, not pushing 50.

His name is Chris Backus. She's 38, he's 24.

My husband goes absolutely ga ga over this woman. When I look at her I see Romy and Michelle...she is ok, but not the beauty queen some think imo.
I think it's good that they are having their children close together. Mine are 22 months apart and I like that there is not too much time in between milestones so that I forget! Like the horror of first dates, driving, prom...
