DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star NICOLLETTE SHERIDAN lent her nervous co-star EVA LONGORIA a hand at the American Music Awards last year (05), when the Latina beauty got stage fright.

Sheridan, who plays the part of man-eater EDIE BRITT in the hit drama, is a seasoned star after performing long term roles in other TV shows such as KNOTS LANDING, and enjoys being a mentor to younger colleague Longoria.

British-born Sheridan says, "She'll come and ask me questions and I'm always there to help her. The sweetest thing was at the American Music Awards. She was nervous backstage and she whispered to me, 'Will you hold my hand?' And I told her, 'Of course I will.' So we came out holding hands and she was fine."

aw i thought that she was so beatiful and petite and perfect you know, that i wouldnt of thought of her as nervous, you know cos shes such a fabulous actress with millions of adoring fans an that!!
