Paris Hilton admits making up defamatory stories

Model/actress/producer ZETA GRAFF filed a $10 million (GBP5.5 million) lawsuit last summer (05), alleging Hilton made-up stories about Graff's jealous and criminal behaviour and supplied them to the New York Post newspaper.

A source tells the publication, "Hilton made a deposition in the slander lawsuit, and admitted she planted a false story in the press in which she claimed Graff attacked her in a London nightclub.

In a statement, Graff says, "Hilton will learn a valuable lesson about what happens when you try to ruin another person's reputation. She made a number of false statements about me, and she repeatedly lied under oath during her recent deposition. I look forward to her explaining all of this to a jury."

Hilton's publicist ELLIOT MINTZ says, "In view of the fact that it's an ongoing matter, I'm not in a position to make any comment."

It's not a criminal matter, so jail isn't a factor.

Parasite is such an idiot. I hope this becomes an embarrassing scandal and she's forced to issue a public apology after paying millions in compensation to this woman.

Doesn't 10 mil seem a bit steep for what is essentially a cat fight? Dumb think for Paris to do but in the end, it sure seems like this young lady is going for the money.

If she did admit to such a thing, then she's liable, in civil court,
for a hefty payout. She may have a lot of assets in her family,
but there are a lot of family members to share in that fortune
(didn't I read that on one of these forums?) -- so she's had to
make her own money, and this settlement would carve out a
large portion of that.

I'm sure if Lil' Kim can go to jail for lying under oath, then it's pretty possible that Paris can too, and God I hope so!!!! You don't know how serious I am when I say I hope to God she goes to jail I we don't have to hear about her crazy stories for at least a couple of months!
