International hair guru PASCAL BENSIMON has been accused of stealing KEVIN COSTNER's laptop computer, which included private photographs of the actor's 2004 wedding.
Bensimon, 44, surrendered to Aspen, Colorado police this week (ends16DEC05) after a 14-month investigation.
The hairstylist, who has been released on $5,000 (GBP2,700) bail, is set to appear in court on Monday (19DEC05) to face charges of felony.
Moroccan Bensimon was hired to style hair for several of the guests who attended the FIELD OF DREAMS actor's 25 September 2004 wedding to CHRISTINE BAUMGARTNER on the star's Aspen ranch.
Bensimon told the Aspen Daily News that someone drugged him at the wedding ceremony, but denied stealing the $1,500 (GBP830) Apple Powerbook or a digital camera.
Pitkin County sheriff's investigator Ron Ryan claims Bensimon felt underpaid by the wedding manager, tells the Aspen Times newspaper, "At some point it did turn out to be about money. I don't know if that was at the time of the wedding. He didn't feel appreciated and issues of money did come up at some point."
