Arrow Nicole Richie "had" to be dumped

Nicole Richie's ex-fiance dumped her because it was something he "had to do", it has been claimed.

Club DJ Adam Goldstein and the stunning 'Simple Life' decided to call time on their relationship earlier this month.

At the time, the pair - who dated for a year before getting engaged in February - had refused to give out any details of the split, with Nicole's publicist, Cindy Guagenti, refusing to give out any details of the break-up.

Now a friend of Adam, also known as DJ A.M, has revealed his decision to call off his engagement to Nicole was based on a gut feeling.
The pal is quoted by America's New York Post newspaper as saying: "He said it was just something that he knew he had to do."

Before Adam ended his romance with Nicole, the former couple had been "making plans together for trips and business ventures" and the DJ's friend claims the sexy TV star was left stunned by his decision.

The friend added: "It really did come right out of left field for Nicole."

According to reports, Nicole - whose former best friend Paris Hilton made a plea this week to rekindle their close friendship - has been left completely devastated by the split.

I don't know much about him but to be perfectly shallow, she was way too cute for him.

Poor Nicole. God, I hope this doesn't make her worse w/her anorexia...but I have this sinking sensation that it will.

He sounds like he had plenty of issues of his own, starting with weighing over 300 lbs

YEah, but he dealt with it. She's nothing but problems.

When I was dealing with my ED (still deal with it at least 4x a week) with my last BF, I was very moody, depressed, insecure, overanxious and paranoid. My ex BF broke it off with me, despite claiming his undying love for me, due to "he just couldn't handle dating me because I was sucking the light out of the room."

Retrospectively, it isn't easy being with someone who refuses to acknowledge a problem. He handled his weight loss, and seemed to be quite settled, her on the other hand, she seems to always appear to be lifeless and not "lively" like she used to be. I imagine he just got tired of the drama and the ED issues, and wanted a break from her.

It might be a strategic move since they are getting ready to film SLife and need to put themselves out there, rebond (Hence Paris wanting to make up with Nicole) and then them rectify their bond, to make for good TV. Then, she'll be happier and "he'll take her back." And so on...
When I was a kid my favorite relative was Uncle Caveman. After school we’d all go play in his cave, and every once in a while he would eat one of us. It wasn’t until later that I found out that Uncle Caveman was a bear. ~ Jack Handey

ITA. It's almost impossible to have a relationship when you have an ED. You're married to the disease and all the BS it creates, you don't have the time or energy to be a girlfriend, much less a fiance. Plus there aren't too many guys out there willing to stick through it all.
