It's no joke: Dave Chappelle's former manager sued the Comedy Central star yesterday, claiming he was cheated out of his share of the millions the hot comic has made.
Mustafa Abuelhija says he's owed more than $860,000 in commissions, including a piece of the reported $50 million, two-season deal Chappelle signed in January before abruptly skipping out on production of "Chappelle's Show."
Abuelhija said Chappelle fired him in a San Francisco hotel in June - a few months after Chappelle fled to spend time on a "spiritual retreat" in South Africa. He's since reappeared at comedy clubs doing his standup routine.
Chappelle's attorney, David Smith, declined to comment.
