Oprah, the next John Walsh
I am sitting here watching Oprah and although I think what she is doing is a good thing of course, she is so over the top. She singlehandedly will catch all the child molesters in America, it's the reason she "was put here".
All I can say is if she does it's the power of television, just like America's Most Wanted is.
Her ego knows no bounds
(my brother is a detective, so I have a good idea of what they go through on these cases)

True, her ego is getting more expansive than that cart of fat she rolled out years back after she went on Medifast, but I think her new focus will do more good than harm.
I hope they nab those sickos, and I don't care how.

Palermo, you must be inside my head because as soon as I saw the title of this thread, I thought the exact same thing.
I would truly admire Oprah for all she has done if she didn't have to preface everything with "I". "I did this..." and "I did that..." I remember watching Nate on her show after the Tsunami and thinking how long before she's going to turn his tragedy around into something that makes her look good (ie saving the world with her good deeds). Sure enough, it didn't take long.

Exactly! She cannot stop talking about herself and she interrupts everybody. Today's show was about the poor in America and Anderson Cooper said this one little black girl he interviewed had such potential if she had been born into a different family, she was such a star. And Oprah actually said "she reminds me of me at that age". Oh Lord.
I never used to watch Oprah but now somehow I can't turn away, it's just like watching a train wreck. But her cult of fans will continue to scream and support her forever.

Here, here. I saw that episode and there he was, crying his eyes out over his dead lover and she was trying to make it about her. And yes, she's doing a good thing with the child molestor thing, but castration won't change them...they still, most of them, have ten digits to use.
