LOS ANGELES - Actor Colin Farrell is being treated for exhaustion and dependency on prescription medication, his publicist said Monday.
The medication was prescribed to the Irish actor after a back injury, publicist Danica Smith said in a written statement.
The statement said Farrell checked himself into a treatment center, which was not identified.
"No other comments to be made at this time," the statement said.
Farrell, 29, stars in the upcoming epic, "The New World," and recently finished filming "Miami Vice." He also appeared in last year's "Alexander" and the 2002 thriller "Phone Booth."

I read on Pinkisthenewblog.com that he OD'ed on a bunch of shit at an Uruguay club...fucking itdiot, if you go to his website on imdb.com you can see several posts predicting his time of death and what drugs he'll OD on...its funny cause you know he doesn't care, he's not tragic or depressed or the sad artist or anything just a silly partying whore-slut!
"prescription-drug-dependancy-back-injury" MY ASS! I've heard that excuse 1 too many times from celebrities (liz taylor, Micheal Jackson, eminem, many naseating others). You kno he's hooked on eightballs to get high and weed/booze to bring him down when he needs to sleep!

At least leave us a great movie before you go. It's awfully hard
to eulogize Chris Farley when his best "movie" was Beverly Hills Ninja.
You don't wanna make that mistake, Farrell.

I hope he learns to look after himself. I mean, ever person who has worked with him has said that he's sensitive and fragile and gets sucked in easily, so I really hope he learns to take care of himself better.

"A Home at the End of the World". That should cover it; he can die now.
