"They have a shiny flat forehead and look like an alien. The lips really terrify me, the upper lip that looks like it has been hit in the face.

"It gives me anxiety, but what can I do? The other day, I was at a party and there was a lip there and it was hurting me so much.

"It was obviously showing that I was disgusted. I just stared and looked kind of horrified."

I don't think so, SVZ. She's never really been a typical beauty, and she's got crow's feet and stuff. She's definitely showing age.

I had a face lift two years ago and not one person noticed. Not one. I had to show the damn scars to prove I actually had a knife taken to me. I looked miserable in the before photo, because I knew I was gonna get sliced, but in the after shot ( which I may have the courage one day to post ) I am happy, cos I had surgery and lived. Oh and had my face fixed. I believe that if your teeth are decaying or showing their age, fix them, the face is the same, if its decaying, which it will do no matter how much you brush it, (joke) fix it. If you really want to. But no one will probably even notice.

If you really feel the need to fix a flaw then do so, it's your body after all.

But I think the people around you who love you don't notice or pick up on your flaws in the first place. Which may explain why they don't notice the difference. We all magnify in our minds what is a supposed flaw. Well I'm rambling but thats what I think.

I had a nosejob and some people took a while to notice but the majority noticed it because the nose does change the face...

Well, I've never had PS, nor do I plan any (so far, but that could change with time), but I don't think Julie Delpy should criticize PS in general. Not everyone takes it too far, and some people really feel better about themselves with it.

Often your flaws are what the people love most about you, my husband LOVES the stuff i LOATHE on myself. Which annoys me, cuz if i could get rid of them RIGHT NOW i would!
