12/8/05: WITHERSPOON HITS BACK AT LUKETIC



REESE WITHERSPOON has hit out at LEGALLY BLONDE director ROBERT LUKETIC's claims she was difficult to work with.

Luketic insists he will never cast the actress again because she is "impenetrable", "morose" and no fun.

But Witherspoon is baffled Luketic took five years to speak out.

She says, "I don't really understand what he meant by that.

"And if he felt that way, why did he take five years to talk about it? He could have called me."

she has always said in interviews that she takes acting seriously. She said she doesnt play around on sets because as a child she was told by her parents that it was a serious job and not to fool around. Even though she may be a bit of an ice queen on sets i dont think that constitutes him saying that she is difficult to work with, or "no fun".

i've read many times that she is not enjoyable to work with and that she has a very serious, chilly personality on set.

I'd be pissed to. If he's badmouthing her, she could potentially lose jobs. It's one thing if you don't like someone you don't work with. Then I can see why you wouldn't address issues with them and maybe be snarky about it. But if you have a professional relationship, the grown up thing for him to do is to sit down with her and talk about it.

She doesn't seem very friendly or warm to me either....even in Legally Blonde, there's something icey about her. It might be the voice, or her witchy chin though.
