JESSICA SIMPSON has reportedly hired a high-powered divorce attorney to handle her split with husband NICK LACHEY - just three weeks after they announced their separation.
According to Us Weekly, the NEWLYWEDS star has recruited ROBERT KAUFMAN, who represented JENNIFER ANISTON in her divorce from BRAD PITT earlier this year (05).
A representative for Simpson has refused to comment on the report, but a pal of the blonde beauty says, "Jennifer handled her divorce with Brad like a lady, in a non-sleazy way, and Jessica wants to do the same."
Jessica hired a high-powered divorce attorney in order to handle things "like a lady, in a non-sleazy way"? Puh-lease. She's probably scared shitless if she didn't sign a pre-nup and Kaufman will need a magic wand to help her out, since California is a community property state.

Jennifer handled the divorce like a whiney kid. Let's just hope Jessica doesn't hire the same advisor Jen used. If there was ever anyone that earned every damn dollar they're going to get from a divorce, it would be Nick Lachey. Hopefully that old saying "if I had a nickel for..." will come true for him and he'll get paid for every dumbass comment he ever had to listen to that fell from her mouth.
