Alec Baldwin: "Kim Basinger is brainwashing our daughter with chocolate"

SCREEN star Alec Baldwin claims ex-wife Kim Basinger is brain-washing their daughter with chocolate bars.

In court papers, he claims the 9 Weeks star has bars made for Ireland, 10, with messages on the wrappers.

He has sent a sample wrapper, listed as Exhibit C, to the Los Angeles judge handling their custody battle.

Baldwin, 47, claims: "The quote reads 'To my daughter Ireland, who gave me the strength, courage and tenacity to stand up for myself...Mom'."

He adds: "The false message she continues to send our daughter is that she needs protection from her father."

Baldwin split from Basinger, 52, three years ago. She had accused him of beating her up and he called her "the Black Widow".

THREE years ago??!?! Some Hollywood celebs have been married three times in the same amount of time. Kim darl, DO NOT involve your child in the issues you have with your ex husband. It's time to let go and move on. You hate him, he hates you, that is a given. Now leave each other alone and be good parents to your daughter.

The things that I hear Alec Baldwin say, or read about him, remind me of my ex-husband. That is a really scary thing, being that my ex is a sociopath who is dangerous to children.

I think it is unfortunate that the child has 2 parents who can't seem to work things out more quietly. But, given that Kim has a very well known anxiety disorder, I don't doubt she clings to the child much more than would be normal. I get the impression Alec is doing what he is doing for the benifit of his daughter. Not the I am an Alec Baldwin fan. But, shit people...keep it out of the press/courts. It will be very embarassing for the child as time goes on for everyone to know things that SHE herself maybe isn't even aware of. My bf and his ex are bitter enemies, but they somehow manage to make things "appear" cordial for the child's sake. ('Course I'm the go-between who sort of keeps the peace now.)

I'd be too busy eating the chocolate and not even pay attention to what's written on the wrapper. I don't think brainwashing is all that easy to do. It's not fair that Kim has done that but if I were Ireland, I'd be more annoyed by the fact that my parents hate each other and are fighting than what's on a silly candy wrapper.

While custom candy wrappers is a bit over the edge I have say that if someone takes this:

'To my daughter Ireland, who gave me the strength, courage and tenacity to stand up for myself...Mom'

As a dig against themselves, he or she must be feeling guilty about something, that sentence offers no direction that there is one specific person in mind in conjunction with standing up for one's self. It could very well be a general statement in response to one's changed and improved behavior.

They used to live not too far from me and in the community he hasn't the best reputation while in person she is delightful.
