Liv Tyler says becoming a mum has made her stupid.
The beautiful actress - who has a baby son, Milo, with rocker husband Royston Langdon - claims she isn't as mentally competent as she was before having her child almost a year ago.
The 28-year-old 'Lord of the Rings' star revealed: "What they tell you about brain cells going out of the window when you have a baby is so true.
"She added: "You get really stupid and flighty"
Earlier this year, Liv had a rose named after her. The unique flower has been created by French cosmetics giants Givenchy who are using the scent of the flower in their new fragrance Very Irresistible Givenchy Sensual Eau de Parfum
Liv is now planning to plant some of the pink flowers in her garden - if the company let her

I blame lack of sleep. For about 2 years after my son was born I suffered from serious scatterbrainedness and major CRS (can't remember shit)! I had to write stuff down.

LOL, I had 'CRS', too! Well, still do (sons are 7 and 2). It's just getting worse all the time.

I've got an infant at home. That combined with no sleep does make for some CRS. Sad but true.

That doesn’t give working moms a good name.

It does make you feel stupid. I used to remember everything. I was excellent at remembering numbers and dates and now I'm lucky if I can remember that my daughter has something special going on at school two days later. It really sucks!
Haven't they proven this? I thought I read something somewhere a year or so ago that pregnancy does actually cause your brain to lose cells, specific with memory, or something like that. I don't know, maybe I'm just pulling stuff out of my ass so I can make myself feel better.

I think it's a temporary thing and it's related to sleep loss and stress. My memory is fine now. But I felt practically brain dead for about 2-3 years there.

There was an article recently that said women don't get 'dumber', it is just a lack of sleep, new worries, new concerns and being overwhelmed. We snap out of it, apparently, after the kids get a bit older. Mine are now out of toddler-ville and I can tell you it does get better (although last night one of my kids was having bad dreams and as a result of getting up 48 million times to comfort him I am as brain dead today as I was when he was a newborn).

The nurses told me at delivery that the brain is attached to the placenta. So, when that passes, it takes a little of the brain with it. Boy, they weren't kidding!

wtf kind of nurses did you have?!??! your placenta's in the womb, your brain's in your brain the only thing that i could possible see being 'connected' is the food source, but your brain uses glycogen anyways
